Chora House

Ioulida, Kea terrace  Ioulida house, livingroom

Ioulida, Kea

The Chora house is located in the upper reaches of the village of Ioulida, otherwise known as Chora. There is no throught traffic in this quiet village. Cars are parked on its periphery and all streets are cobbled and staired. The views of the Cavo d Oro, the island of Makronissos and Cape sounion as well as the plains of Attika is spectacular and on a clear day you can see as far as Hydra and the Peloponessos. The village is traditional but many Athenians have weekend houses since it is a short trip from the mainland, only an hour by ferry and twenty minutes by highspeed. There are several nice restaurants within walking distance and dozens if you have a car. There are a couple cafes in the village and many small shops.

KitchenThe Chora House is located at the end of a small cul-de-sac which leads to the house and a small chapel. The Chora house and the chapel form a small terrace with tables and deck chairs. There are views of the sea in the distance and of the mountains in front. The  house was renovated 5 years ago and has 2 levels. One enters from the upper level where there is a living room (couch, dining table for 6) and a fully equiped kitchen. On the lower level is the bathroom, one bedroom with a queen sized bed and one other bedroom with a study and one bed. To reach the smaller bedroom one passes through the larger one.  Whenever there have been 4 aduilts renting, 2 people ususally occupy the lower level double bedroom and the other two the double bed  in the living room above.

The Hora House has been sold but have a look at their new property at www.hotelsofgreece.com/cyclades/kea/red-tractor-farm
