AEGEON BEACH Hotel - Cat. 4* - In Sounio

Not many hotels in Greece can compete with the location of this hotel. Located on the Sounion peninsula, only a few hundred meters from the Temple of Poseidon, the Aegeon Beach enjoys one of the best views and sunsets to be found anywhere in the country. Fully renovated in 2004, it features 37 standard rooms, 7 junior suites and 1 presidential suite.

All rooms are elegantly decorated and furnished, have private facilities (shower/WC, magnifying mirror, and complimentary toiletries), A/C, satellite TV, direct line telephone, mini bar, hairdryer and safe box. All rooms have a private balcony with sea view. The suites are more spacious, have a separate sitting area and apart from sea view, they enjoy full, unobstructed views to the temple.

The hotel stands right on a sandy beach, well organized with umbrellas and deck chairs, as well as a beach bar and an outdoor restaurant, both operating only in the summer. There is also an indoor restaurant, serving dishes with fresh fish and various seafood as well as specialties of the Mediterranean kitchen, with views to the sea and the temple.

There are multifunction rooms and amenities for special events, conventions, seminars and exhibitions. The hotel is also ideal for wedding receptions, especially in the summer, as it has a separate area, right by the sea and with the same splendid view just for that purpose. Other services include a well-equipped children's playroom, free ample parking and 24-hrs room service. There is a small tavern nearby but there are no shops or other entertainment options, so having a car is strongly recommended.
