Levendis is a 7-acre private and gated country estate on the shores of the Ionian island of Ithaca. Perched on a hillside and having spectacular views over pine forests, this organic olive oil producing estate is now a luxury, family-friendly and romantic destination where quality and hospitality are the abiding hallmarks.

The Levendi's philosophy is that every guest should feel thoroughly spoilt. They arrange the detail of each guest's holiday individually so that everyone enjoys the kind of holiday that is ideal for them.

In any season, the owners invite you to share with the many aspects of Levendi's. You may be wanting a summer time, fun holiday, or to spend time walking and being within the rich natural beauty of our island; to be inspired for creative expression; or you may be seeking anonymity and serenity whilst you hide from the world to recharge your soul.

Whether you are planning a holiday with your family, a group of friends, or alone with you partner, Levendi's provides the perfect idyllic environment.

Four traditionally styled houses are scattered throughout the grounds. They are linked by footpaths and stairways which meander down to the swimming pool; and further through the pine forest to beaches below the property. All houses have their own private gardened terraces extending into the groves, and outdoor dining facilities.
The Estate accommodates up to 16 people in total, with each house having:

2 bedrooms (one double, one twin) each with sea views across its own shaded verandah.
living room with wood burning heater;
fully equipped kitchen with freezer, fridge and oven
indoor and outdoor dining areas
bathroom
CD player, radio with audio tape, telephone and computer connections

Children are very welcome and accommodation is suitable for elderly or infirm people.

Hospitality begins with their driver meeting you at Kefallonia airport to begin your private and scenic transfer to Ithaca and does not end until you board your plane for the flight home. During your holiday they provide a daily housekeeping service, a personal laundry service and quality linens. They will also happily arrange car hire, boat hire, yacht charters, child care, scuba diving expeditions, tours of archeological sites, self-drive excursions to nearby islands and guided walks. Or if you'd rather, they will leave you in total peace to enjoy the tranquility of the surroundings.

On arrival you'll find a car in the car park for your use, the kitchen well stocked with beverages and foods from the Estate, fresh bread will be delivered daily and you will help yourself to the produce of the vegetable herb gardens. They will prepare and deliver traditional fare made with our organic produce if you wish. And the coffee shop is open every morning for light breakfasts.

Levendi's gives you an escape holiday. Despite its place in history as the home of Homer's Ulysses, Ithaca is an idyllic island yet to venture into tourism in any serious way. Guests travel from all parts of the world to holiday with them each year, and the owners would very much enjoy sharing the joys of a Levendi's holiday with you too.

Local activities include swimming, walking, sailing, boating, cycling, water sports and skiing, fishing, mountain biking. From 1 April 2002 guests will enjoy swimming without leaving the property. A salt water pool is being added to the Estate. You will only need wander down the footpath to be at pool swimming and sunbaking whilst taking in the views across the edge of the pool, through the forest and across the bay. The pool area will include a bar, and whole days will disappear as you relax in the shade on sun loungers within the colonnaded pool area.
