Syros is different from the other Cyclades islands. It is the capital of the island chain and the main town of Hermoupolis was once the primary port of Greece. It is full of shops and great restaurants and lots of nightlife. The other side of the island is similar to the rest of the Cyclades with some nice beaches and there are some towns
that have impressive mansions, the summer homes of the aristocrats and ship owners. Many Syros hotels
are open year round and there are daily ferries to Mykonos and Tinos. There is also a ferry that leaves every day on a different route to other islands in the Cyclades. Hotels are listed from highest category
to lowest with
villas, apartments, houses and simple rooms last. You can get information on Syros by going to my Syros Guide. A great way to plan your trip is my Create-an-itinerary
page which allows you to put together a custom itinerary with the help of a travel agency with no obligation to book. You can also use Booking.com's Syros Hotel Search which is a great tool for finding exactly what you want. M = Matt's Choice.
You can find hotels in Syros by location, price, whether or not it has a swimming pool, and see photos and reviews by using this link to booking.com.
Excellent prices and many hotels you can book and then cancel with no cancellation
fee. For those who want to book without using a travel agency this is the best way to do it.
