Elly's Family House
Glyfada, Athens, Greece

Glyfada House for rentΑ classical Athenian single family house (not an apartment. A real house!) with a lovely garden, in a notably upscale but quiet neighborhood just a few blocks away from Glyfada Square and the closest beaches. This house is ideal for guests who are traveling either for business or for pleasure and especially families traveling with children who find staying in hotels in different rooms to be expensive and inconvenient. Located within easy walking distance of Glyfada's commercial center with its dozens of restaurants, cafes, gyms, shops, bakeries and supermarkets. The house is also available for longer periods for those who want to spend a month or two in one of the liveliest parts of Athens, yet in a nice suburban house on a quiet tree-lined street.

Living room A 20 minute walk to the Marina and nearby cosmopolitan beaches as well as the world famous Glyfada Golf Course. Getting into Athens is easy with public buses that can take you to the nearby metro station at Ellinikon or all the way into the center, or you can take the coastal tram which is about 20 minutes away. But if you have a rental car there is plenty of parking and its location makes it easy to explore Attika and any important archaeological sites and areas within striking distance of Athens while avoiding the traffic of downtown. You can also visit all the beautiful beaches between Glyfada and Sounion and easily get to and from the airport..

The house has 3 bedrooms and can easily accommodate a family of 7. There is a large kitchen with all modern appliances, a good sized living room, a dining room with a very large table, and lots of outdoor space for eating and entertaining. There is a large balcony on the second floor with comfortable chairs and a large couch. The house has TV, air-conditioning and wireless internet. There is a 3 night minimum stay but you will probably want to stay a week once you get here. Your host's Elli and Yiannis are a phone call away if you have any needs or problems or even if you want a restaurant recommendations. By the way, some of the best restaurants in Athens are in Glyfada Square, a 15 minute walk.

Eli's house kitchen

"I spent a week here in June 2016 and I loved this house. It reminded me of my family house when I was a kid growing up in the suburbs of Athens. But it has something my house didn't. This house has an elevator. True it is only a 2 story house so why do you need an elevator? You may not but if you are traveling with a grandparent or one of the members of your family uses a wheelchair or has trouble with stairs for whatever reason, they will find it very easy to get to the second floor where two of the bedrooms and the terrace are located.

But the best thing for me was the location. It is very close to the beaches and all the action in Glyfada and the whole area is flat with sidewalks that don't have cars parked on them. There are also bicycle paths and the house comes with bicycles you can use to get around.

Besides the restaurants and shops of Glyfada Square there is a bakery, a cafe, and a couple restaurants as well as a cinema within a 2 minute walk of the house."-Matt Barrett
