| TSITSIRIS CASTLE Traditional Settlement - In Gerolimenas Some 16kms south of Areopolis, Tsitsiris Castle is in he tiny village of Stavri. Renovated from the ruins of a tower house, two small blocks have been added to make a total of 20 rooms. All are built and furnished in traditional Maniot style using local stone and wood, passes en suite shower/WC (some with bath) and have air conditioning. Family rooms for up to 4 persons are available, with a mezzanine sleeping gallery above. Due to architectural restrictions there are no balconies. The hotel has a good cellar restaurant and cafe-bar. A super base from which to explore a dramatic and fascinating landscape. |
