Traditional village holiday home for rent in the Peloponnese, Greece. This house is in the village of Pragmateftis which is in the prefecture of Kinouria and about 220 klm from Athens near the town of Leonideon. Pragmateftis is also known as “The Balcony of Kinouria” because of its stunning sea views from almost anywhere in the village. The village is only 1.5klms up a zigzag road from the sea  The house for rent was built of stone in 1838 and its interior has been fully restored and consists of a large fully furnished living room with a large open  log fireplace, a dining table for 4, satellite TV, DVD player, and CD player. There are two double bedrooms that are tastefully furnished with traditional furniture, a kitchenette fully equipped with coffee maker, electric toaster, kettle, small oven/cook top, fridge/freezer, microwave and utensils/cookware. The house has a  large stone and granite tiled bathroom. Outside, there is a small garden that is terraced on three different levels with stunning sea views. This is a tasteful, fully furnished house for rent for those who want to relax with the full comforts of a well- furnished home. Sleeps up to 4 comfortably and is ideal for those who wish to experience a Greek hill-town village atmosphere only a few minutes drive from the sea. Pragmateftis and its surrounding area is not only ideal for swimming, snorkelling, fishing or lying on the beach, but also for relaxing, reading, drawing, painting, writing or taking photos; it’s also ideal for walking or bird watching. The village is 1.5klms by road up a zigzag hill from the port of Sambatiki which has a taverna on the beach. Next to this, the beach of Theoapafto which is mostly used by the villagers and by the locals who see this as their village beach and at various times of the year organize village parties here. The surrounding coast line is mostly rocky but with many pebbled beaches or small coves. The next nearest beach is Livadi which is 4klms by road from the village, (there are shortcuts by foot) and there is a taverna right on the water front. The town of Leonidio is 7klms away and here you will find all the usual shops: chemists, bakers, butchers, clothes shops, dentists, bars, a supermarket and even a spa.
