King Othon Hotel |
Nafplion, Greece |
The King Othon I and II are in 2 neo-classic mansions right off the two main squares of Nafplion and are two of the oldest buildings in the city though they have been recently rennovated. They are family run hotels with several rooms with sea views. Great attention has been paid to decoration and interior design. Breakfast is served in a terrace in the back of the hotel. All rooms have a bath and air-conditioning.
Both hotels are located in the center of
the old town. Othon I housed the first Ionian bank of Greece, and became a hotel in 1962. It
was fully renovated in 1999, becoming one of the top traditional hotels in town.
It's name, King Othon, was the name of the first King of modern Greece,
Othon.
Othon II is situated only 30 metre from
Othon I. It is a 100 year old building and was fully renovated in 2002. All rooms
have exceptional view of the Venetian Castle and/or of the old port with the
castle on the sea."
