SYROU MELATHRON - A’ Class- at Hermoupolis the capital of the Cyclades.
A neo-classical mansion in the aristocratic capital of Syros built in 1856 and now carefully renovated, with excellent view to the sea, 800m from the harbour of Hermoupolis. It consists of 16 rooms all with private facilities, telephone,
mini bar, satellite TV, private safe, hairdryer, A/C, 10 rooms also with sea view. The hotel has a roof garden
restaurant, a breakfast lounge and a bar. Breakfast is optional.
This is an impressive hotel right above the best place to swim in Hermoupolis. If you arrive to find that you are staying in the Annex don't fret. Though you don't get a view the rooms are much bigger and very comfortable. You can walk everywhere from here, the AC works great, the staff are nice, and the lobby is beautiful. But my favorite thing about the hotel was that I could walk down the steps and jump into the sea even before I had my morning coffee. -Matt Barrett
