HERMES Hotel - B’ Class - at Hermoupolis
A modern building in lovely architectural style, renovated in 1991. It is situated in the central position of the
Hermoupolis harbour. Most of the rooms with air conditioning, all of them with TV, mini bar, music, telephone and
balcony with view over the port or looking out to sea. One of the finest hotels on the island it sits on a narrow
penisula facing the harbor. The back of the hotel is on a small stony beach and you can sit on your balcony and
watch the ships pass all day long. Highly recommended by Matt Barrett who lived here with his family in 1963 and
returned there during the summer of 2001 and 2007 and gave it very high praise. The Hermes Hotel has a very nice restaurant
and is also next to the excellent Yaninea Restaurant and close to all the cafes and bars which line the port. Great spot for ferry watching. This is the place to stay in Syros. The hotel is open year-round.
