Kastellakia Bay Villas |

Kea |
The Kastellakia Bay Villas are located in the middle of the world-renowned Cyclades archipelago of Greek islands, on the unspoilt, less traveled island of Kea. Kea, also known by its Venetian name Tzia, is the northernmost and fourth in size Cycladic island. A sheer 16 nautical miles from the mainland port of Lavrio in east Attica, or, a pleasant 75 minute boat ride, Kea is so close and simultaneously so far away from Athens and its New International Airport “Eleftherios Venizelos”. Unlike others, Kea remains a quaint, very low profile, rugged island, with few tourists, numerous pristine beaches, beautiful blue-green waters, ancient cobblestone marked foot-paths, bird-watching nature reserves, few hotels and mostly, privately owned houses. Seasonally or permanently, to relax and enjoy, Kea boasts known names of the Greek and international jet-set in business, law, art and science, as it appeals to the discerning visitor who seeks tranquility, authenticity and a genuinely Aegean environment without the exaggeration, crowding and intrusions one encounters on more “developed” islands.
The Kastellakia Villas boast a uniquely beautiful location and a single feature, which makes them first, choice for many guests with families: an 50 meter-long secluded beach with crystal-clear transparent aqua-blue waters, right at the edge of the property. To make it even better, except for Villa guests, few have access to it! Villa Phil |
In the 100 - sq. meters inside its 70 cm thick stonewalls, Villa Phil offers on one single level, two bedrooms (master and secondary) -with traditional wooden Kea ceilings, floors and ceiling fans- two bathrooms, a spacious living room-kitchen area with fireplace and a large outside terrace. In total, Villa Phil will sleep 6 adults. The master bedroom features a traditional, built-in king-size bed (200 X210 cm). The guest bedroom features two antique wrought iron single beds (90x200 cm). An additional two adults may very comfortably sleep in the living area on the specially designed, spaciously built-in fireplace sitting area bed-divans with hand-made cotton mattresses (90 X 200 cm).
The two bathrooms are built with traditional materials: the master bedroom’s contoured white bathroom is like a giant sculpture chiseled out of an Aegean rock and the hand made tile-lain guest bathroom brings to mind romantic hues of times past. The luminous open-design rustic kitchen offers all modern amenities and a full set of cooking equipment, like a true home: gas-electric stove, large refrigerator, and a full set of pots, pans, dishes, and glasses. Meals are no excuse therefore to leave this small paradise at any time of the day! However, in the summer, life in Greece takes place mostly outside and the 6 by 20 meter ‘summer living area’, the terrace in front of the house with its incredible view, is its real charm. Under the reed-shaded sitting area or in the sun, one may enjoy the beauty of the changing light and serenity of the Kastellakia bay where the sound of the waves will be disturbed only by the occasional cry of the hawks. Villa Maria |
