Anavyssos, also known as Palea Fokea, is a seaside resort 52kms from Athens city centre and 25kms from Athens International Airport and is famous for its seafood restaurants. Right on the sandy beach stands the Plaza Resort, a delightful hotel that was beautifully renovated in 2004, and is now one of the most elegant hotels in the wider Attica area. All 135 rooms, including family rooms and suites, are stylishly decorated with wooden and leather furniture, designed especially for the hotel.

There are four different room types:

In accordance with its standard and fine reputation, the Plaza Resort offers many dining and entertainment options:
"Ivory" Main Restaurant: an elegant and casual dining area located on the ground floor and extended in the garden for the summer period, offers a beautiful setting for breakfast (rich American buffet), lunch and dinner.
"Au Bar": the main bar with the library area overlooking the garden, is the ideal spot for coffee, light snacks, drinks and cocktails, while reading your favourite book.
"Ocean": You can choose sitting between the pool deck and the private sandy beach and enjoy coffee, juices, refreshing cocktails, as well as light snacks.
"The Blue" Gourmet Restaurant: this charming restaurant, situated next to the pool and the beach, ensures a dining experience. The combination of exquisite tastes, imaginative presentation, excellent service and breathtaking view of the sunset, creates the best atmosphere for a special evening.

The sandy beach is organized with umbrellas, sun beds and chairs (free for the hotel residents), and there is a water sports club for those who wish to be active. The large size swimming pool is right on the verge of the sand. There is a tennis court as well as a mini soccer field. In-room massage and body therapy treatments are offered (for a fee) as the hotel has not yet completed its fitness and spa centre. There are various meeting and conference rooms for different functions, all well equipped and appointed. The hotel also welcomes younger guests, by offering children menus, child-size bathrobes, cribs and rollaway beds, complimentary colouring books and pencils, baby lotions, powder, shampoo & balloons, complimentary use of baby blankets, high chairs, teddy bears, socket guards, thermometers, bottle and bottle warmers and even complimentary bedtime milk and cookies! With 24 Hours notice, babysitting services can be arranged.
